Advices 4 us (as well)

Some advices from Our Beloved Nabi s.a.w to his companion, Aboo Zarr r.a. :
1. Develop fear of Allah ta'aalaa in your heart, because this is the root of it all
2. Stick to reading the Quran because it is noor for you in this life and provision for the aakhirah
3. Abstain from too much laughter because it causes the heart to whiter and the face loses its lustre
4. Stick to jihaad because this is the rahbannneeyah (monasticism) of my ummah
5. Associates yourself with the poor and the needy, be friendly with them and sit in thier company
6. Look towards those who rank below you (so that you may get used to being thankful) and do not look at those who rank above you, lest you should despise the favours of Allah ta'aalaa upon you
7. Let your own faults prevent you from criticizing others and do not try to find fault with others, because you commit those faults yourself. It is enough to prove you at fault that you should find in others such faults as you yourself possess, though you may be not aware of them and that you should find in others such misdeeds as you commit
8. There is no wisdom better than prudence, nor any nobility better than polite manners
